Why a Flamingals?
Flamingals makes jeans for women who’d rather own three pairs they actually reach for than a drawer full of maybes. The name came from a joke that stuck — flamingos spend their whole lives standing around on their legs and somehow still look good doing it, which felt like the right idea for a denim brand. We started small, with one straight-leg cut and a lot of opinions about waistbands. The rest grew from customers telling us what was wrong with everything else they owned.
Most of what we’ve learned came from complaints. Waistbands that gap at the back. Denim that bags out at the knee by lunchtime. Pockets sewn on for decoration rather than for putting things in. So we buy heavier fabric than the price suggests we should, keep a bit of stretch in it so the jeans move without going slack, and cut the rise where it actually sits instead of where a size chart says it should. Every fit gets worn for a few weeks by real people before it goes on the site — sat in, cycled in, washed badly on purpose.
Our sizing runs wider than most, and the fit notes tell you the truth: which cuts run snug, which soften after two washes, which ones will not work if you have a shorter torso. We’d rather lose a sale than have you order three sizes and send two back.
We don’t do drops, we don’t do waitlists, and we’re not going to tell you a pair of jeans will change your week. They’re jeans. Good ones, priced like something you’ll wear for years rather than photograph once — and if a pair doesn’t work out, tell us, because that’s still the most useful thing anyone sends us.
Denim, Straight from the Fitting Room Floor

“The Sunset Flare has an actual waistband, not that flimsy elastic thing most brands pass off. I wore them through a nine-hour shift at the gallery and never once had to hike them up.”
Danielle R.

“I bought the High-Rise Coral Wash on a whim because I never thought pink denim would work on me. Three months later they’re the only jeans my daughter keeps trying to steal out of my closet.”
Marisol V.

“I’m 5’2″ and usually resign myself to hemming everything. The Petite Bootcut hit right at my ankle bone straight out of the bag, which honestly startled me a little.”
Priya N.

Answers to Common Questions
Cold water, inside out, on a gentle cycle with similar shades works best. Bleach and fabric softener should be avoided, and air drying helps hold the original shape. Washing less often also slows fading considerably.
Orders are processed within 1–2 business days. Standard shipping typically arrives in 3–7 business days, while express delivery generally takes 2–3. A tracking link is sent by email as soon as the parcel leaves the warehouse.
Manufacturing faults such as broken seams, a defective zip, or a button that works loose are covered for 12 months from the purchase date. Normal wear, gradual fading, and damage caused by alterations fall outside that cover. A short description and a photo sent to support is enough to open a claim.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days of delivery, provided items are unworn, unwashed, and still have the original tags attached. Requesting an exchange is usually faster than a return and reorder, since the replacement size is reserved once the request is registered.
Messages sent through the contact form or by email are answered within 1–2 business days, Monday through Friday. Including the order number in the first message helps resolve most cases in a single reply.
Every listing includes a measurement chart covering waist, hip, and inseam, taken from the actual item rather than a generic standard. Comparing those numbers against a well-fitting pair already owned tends to be more accurate than relying on a usual size label, since cuts and stretch levels vary between styles.
